The picture shows the Axis mundi – the axis of the world.
The crown of the tree connects to the universe, the roots to the earth, and as a central centre there is a connection to the heart, which is seen among the roots.
The vibrancy of the colours of the canopy signify joy, enthusiasm and gratitude for life.

Epigenetics is what represents DNA instead of the trunk. Epigenetics is the knowledge that gene expression is influenced by environmental factors without changing our DNA transcript. This means that our environment and the actions and choices we make affect our genes.

The lotus is a symbol of man’s spiritual development, coming from darkness, from the muddy bottom of the swamp, from difficulties, despair, overcoming obstacles and developing and growing upwards into light and enlightenment. 869
